Why I Built MCO

I built MCO because the profession that raised me never had a standard. For more than twenty years, I worked the docket. Calendar clerk. Court runner. Managing clerk. I learned the rules in the chair, with the stakes on the line, the way every great court operations professional learns them. And I watched too many smart, capable people get handed responsibility they were never trained for, with no certification to point to and no community to lean on.

MCO is the answer to that gap. The first professional certification platform built for Managing Clerks, Docket Clerks, Calendar Clerks, and Court Runners. Not by an outside vendor. By someone who has done the work.

Court operations professionals are the last line of defense against malpractice. We catch the missed deadline. We flag the wrong rule. We protect the case before it ever sees a courtroom. That work deserves recognition, training, and a credential that means something.

Hear the Story in My Own Words

I sat down with the National Docketing Association for their Women's History Month special, Celebrating Women in Docketing, to talk about how I got here. The folding chair I pulled up to a table that did not have a seat for me. The salary conversation that changed my career. The mentor who taught me three quarters of what I know. And why this profession deserves a real path forward.

"Don't be Kodak. They invented digital photography and said no to it because they were afraid of change. The world is moving toward efficiency, automation, and AI. Embrace the tools in front of you. Trust, but verify. You are still the operator. You still own the work product."

If you are responsible for a docket, this platform was built for you.
